Girl Neary 16 Absolute Torture

           Summer finally comes and Jess had it all sort out for her with her and Fred lounging in the park, gazing into each others eyes and rehearsing and writing comedy sketches. Now that her and Fred are a comedy genius couple, nothing can get in the way of that or so she thinks. But then her mother, Mrs. Jordan, stepped in and ruined everything when she announces that Jess, herself and Granny will be leaving for Cornwall to visit Jess's bachelor dad. Six months ago when Jess and Fred weren't together, Jess would've been excited and enjoyed but now during the summer was bad timing. Not only will she have to leave Fred all alone at home but she'll be scared that her best friend, Flora will snatch him from her just by being beautiful, Jess knows that Flora had shown interest in Fred not too long ago.
           It gets worse when Jess arrived at Cornwall that Mrs. Jordan, as a librarian, likes to visit historians memorial, graves and museums and expect Jess to weep at the grave of every hero in all Britain's history and Jess felt really embarrassed when her mother admitted that she had a crush on some old history guy called Lawrence of Arabia. After visiting many museums and memorials, Jess helped Granny scattered Grandpa's ashes into the sea and got her mind back to Fred. She also learns that Granny had experienced a girl trying to steal Grandpa away from her at a beach. The vacation wasn't that bad when Jess arrived at her dad's fabulous home.

           Since Jess's dad is an artist, many artworks of other famous artists and his own was displayed in the house and the mansion was so elegant that it could becomes the future castle of Jess and Fred. Jess's dad is so wealthy that he even have his own fancy boat and knows how to cook these fancy food. Jess also learn that her dad is homosexual and is dating a lawyer named Phil, she learns that her dad homosexuality was what led to her parents' divorce and that her dad only marries her mom so that he can "fix himself". The next day, one special surprise visitor came knocking at Jess's door and it was Fred! Jess, Fred, her mom, her dad and her future stepfather Phil ends up having a good summer vacation and celebrate Jess's sixteen birthday on her dad's boat.

           Like any other teenage girls, Jess Jordan wants to be in love and have a boyfriend and has already set her eyes on someone special. Ben Jones is a shy and awkward football captain that likes to make friends and hang out. Plus his best friend, Mackenzie is going out with Jess's beautiful best friend, Flora so how cool would it be to date Ben and double date with Flora and Mackenzie? But her problems with getting with Ben starts when she went to a party. Jess has always want big boobs, like Flora to impress Ben. So she follows the instructions in a book and made fake boobs full of mushroom soup. She even name each of her boobs Bonnie and Clyde. Unfortunately, at the party her boobs exploded and she went to the bathroom to clean it. Little does she know that a senior named Jack had put a CCTV footage in the girl's bathroom and record everything from Jess cleaning her boobs to talking to them and calling them Bonnie and Clyde.

           Afraid to die of humiliation, Jess turns to her best guy friend, Fred to destroy the CCTV footage since he's a tech genius. Fred destroyed the tape and Jess is save again but to find that her friendship with Fred is struggling when he caught her holding hands with Ben plus when she tells everyone he's like an owl. Jess is also worried that since Mackenzie and Flora broke up, Flora will start going out with Ben. Jess had had enough of drama and awkwardness going around her life that she needs to focus on something new. Since she's hilarious, an English teacher Mr. Fothergill had suggested she put on a comedy show in the talent show and Jess accepted. But on the day of the talent show, Jess got sick and Flora had to fill in and everybody love Jess's skits.

           

           Jess loves heading in her new direction and had other people made confessions to her. Like Ben said that he doesn't like any girls because he can't deal with the drama and he isn't ready for a girlfriend. Shockingly, Flora told Jess that she doesn't love Ben but she loves Fred and thinks that he's a comic genius. Flora asked Jess to tell Fred that she likes him and said that if he's interested, he can talk to her about it. Later when Jess told Fred that Flora likes him, Fred admitted that he doesn't like Flora and he likes Jess. Jess realize that she feels the same and start going with Fred. Flora was pretty sad for three days but eventually moved on and support Jess and Fred's relationship.

          Jessica "Jess" Jordan is a typical insecure teenage girl. Her mother is a divorced librarian who's sometimes outrageous but knowledgable. Her best friend, Flora is wealthy and drop dead gorgeous. Her grandmother is obsessed with catastrophy, disasters and murderers around the world. Her best guy friend, Fred is a total class clown. Despite her ordinary life, Jess is full of excitement when the French exchange students descend on her class. Jess and her mother are assigned to house a French boy named Eduoard. Jess thought herself "How awesome and sexy would it be to have a French boy in your house", this is Jess's oppertunity to make a French boy her first boyfriend.
          But when Jess and her mother went to school at midnight to pick up Edouard, Jess found out that he's a short hobbit who's really shy and awkward around strangers. But when Flora's partner, Marie-Louise told Jess that when Edouard first saw her digitally enhanced photo, he fell deeply in love with Jess. Scared and creeped out, Jess convinces Fred to pose as her boyfriend to make Edouard sad and he will moved on. But many days passed by and seeing that Eduoard has no affectionate feelings on her, Jess "broke up" with Fred when he's not taking their fake relationship seriously.
          Breaking off with Fred because Edouard doesn't like her anymore isn't the only reason she broke up with Fred. Jess had fallen for Gerard, Jodie's French partner. Gerard has a perfect body, black hair and can sweet talk any girl he meets. On the camping trip with Jodie, Edouard, Flora and Marie-Louise, Gerard had told Jess how funny and amazing she is and actually hold Jess's hands underwater when Jodie wasn't around. But chaos strikes after Saturday camp dinner, Jodie wants to play hide-and-seek the other way around so Jess has to be separated from Gerard because he was "it". Jess thinks she knows for sure that Gerard is at the place where they hold hands underwater. But while looking for Gerard, she ran into Edouard instead and they got lost in the woods. By the time they got back, Jess and Edouard had form a friendship and Jess was a mess. She also learned that Gerard was with her beautiful best friend, Flora the whole time and they had bonded. At night, Jess's jealousy grew when Flora told her that while playing the game, Gerard had told her how amazing and that she catches his eyes at the beginning. Didn't want to break Flora's heart, Jess kept quiet for the whole trip.

           When the French students leave for Paris, Gerard told Jess one more time that he wants to kiss her all over again, even though she doesn't what he meant. After the French students leave for Paris, Jess told Flora that Gerard only like one girl for a few hours and then dump her for another just like he did with Jess and Flora. The two begins to bond again and blocks all contacts from Gerard.

Susannah Simon was always a do-gooder mediator, unlike Paul Slater who takes advantages of ghost and always break the mediator law, like when he stole the ghost of Mrs. Gutierrez's savings for her great-grandchildren instead of giving it to her great-grandchildren. Susannah has always notice that Paul is insanely into her, but was shocked when he asked Kelly Prescott, the most beautiful girl in school, to the junior year prom instead of asking Susannah. She's more lonely when Father Dominic, the principal of her school and her mediator guidance, left San Francisco to visit a long time friend of his whose in a coma. One typical afternoon in biology, Paul said he has some information about mediation to show Susannah and was rudely refering Kelly to a succubus. Afterschool came and Paul took Susannah to his beautiful and big house and try to find out more about her love life with Jesse De Silva, Susannah's handsome ghost boyfriend whose living in the school's courtyard now, Susannah was uncomfortable telling Paul about this kind of stuff so she ran out without saying goodbye to his small family in California. Susannah also notice how he seems like he's threatening to destroy Jesse. Later in the middle of the night, Susannah payed a visit to Jesse's and told him that Paul is up to no good and that she will ignore his threatening words and stopped him before he goes any further. Then they made out in Susannah's mother's car and Jesse made her promise to be safe and be calm until all of this chaos becomes clearer. The next day after social studies class, Paul revealed to Susannah that he will go back through time in the 1850s, or Jesse's time when he was alive, to saved Jesse from being murdered by Felix Diego, a slave runner, which in the presence shows that Susannah will never meet Jesse because he wasn't killed by Felix Diego. Susannah warns Paul about messing up the natural orders of things in the presence, but Paul won't listen. Instead he informed Susannah that this time, Jesse will be on his side instead of hers.  Susannah was concerned of this so she went and see Paul's grumpy grandfather, who's secretly Dr. Slaski, the man who wrote a popular but unbelievable (to regular humans) about mediaton. Susannah wants to know how to travel back through time in the correct way so she won't mess up history and herself. Dr. Slaski says she needs an object that was once used by the person (ghost in the presence) when they were alive, then pick a spot where that person has once stood, closed your eyes and just shift throught time. Of course, Paul was doing a good thing this time and saving Jesse's live but without Jesse in her life, Susannah would be dull and heartbroken so now she don't know how to deal with this mess. Susannah tries to call Father Dominic, but he is too busy taking care of his friend in a coma so she went to Paul and tries to talk him out of it. Paul was surprised because his grandfather doesn't talk to anybody, but now he talks to Susannah. She never did talk Paul out of it but was furious when he brought the plan about saving Jesse's life to Jesse, who wants Susannah instead of his life. During the bake sale for the middle schoolers, Susannah found out that Paul is using Jesse's buckle as his object to the past and she also found out that Shannon, her bake sale partner, liked her extremely intelligent stepbrother, David. After that bake sale, Susannah went to Paul's house to talk to his grandfather again, only to find that Kelly and Paul were awkwardly making out on the couch and Dr. Slaski with an ambulance. Susannah also notice that the people in her surroundings are having such a better life right now than she has, starting with her albino best friend CeeCee Webbs being asked to the dance by the guy she likes. When Jesse and Susannah were on their date night, Jesse asked Susannah what was Paul doing down at the school, she freaks out because that's the place he was going to go back through time and ran as fast as she could to school, along with Jesse, whom she told the whole truth to. Jesse stopped her from going down to the school and she just shifted right there, in her bedroom. But back in time she wasn't in her bedroom, she was in the boarding house Jesse had settled down in when he was alive. She was kicked out of the house when the landlady saw that she was not wearing a hoop skirt, so she found Paul in the horse barn, set a bed and slept until morning. Until morning she realized that Paul was taking care of her and tricking her when he said he was going to save her, but instead tie her with a rope and put a handkerchief in her mouth. In the morning, Jesse (who doesn't know Susannah at that time), found her tied up and saved her but was disgusted by the fact that she was wearing pants. When Susannah saw how happy and helpful Jesse was, she decided to take sides with Paul and let him live. But when she explained to Jesse, he doesn't seem to believe her. When Felix Diego showed up and tried to kill Jesse, he held Susannah as a hostage but let her go falling on the hay and the lantern which burst into a fire. Jesse jumped in to save her and Susannah shift back to the presence, bring Jesse's body with her and when ghost Jesse jumped inside that body, he became alive. Susannah and Jesse decided to go to prom together the next several mornings. Susannah also introduced her boyfriend to everyone and forgave Paul. Father Dominic found him a job as a doctor assistant (since Jesse always wanted to be a doctor) and an apartment to live in. At the end, Susannah said that her heart burst with joy as she kissed him.

the clique summer collection: Massie

The Clique Summer Collection: Massie is about Massie Block getting beautiful. At Galwaugh riding camp, a new girl named Selma Galwaugh, qualified for the camp's best team, The Galwaugh Goddesses, Massie as captain. She got in because her grandfather is the owner of the camp but she is very hard to cooperate with and she is an amateur at riding. So because of that Massie and her summer friends, Jacqueline and Whitney decided to cheat by putting glue on the horse's seat when Selma rides so Selma won't fall off. But when the glue gets sticky, Lil, the councelor is suspicious. Selma then give Massie in and her summer friends won't have her back so Massie got upset. When she arrived home, her parents are very unimpressed with her behavior at camp and all those cash they paid so they force her to pay them back by finding a summer job. Massie thought summer jobs are boring and lame so she decided not to be a dogwalker or a babysitter. Massie made up her mind to be a sales rep for the new make-up brand "Be Pretty Cosmetics". Massie tried her first attempt to sell her products to Lindsey Kearn and Kelsey but Lindsey wouldn't buy because Massie once made fun of her best friend, Kimmi about having a summer job and Kelsey wouldn't buy because she got really attractive after three months and only use Nars. Massie then got an idea that to sell a product, she will have to be honest to the customers so that they can show their insecurities and buy the product. Her plan turns out to work really well and by the end of the month, she was "Be Pretty Cosmetics" top sales girl and that means her prize is a royal purple highlight streak on her brown hair done by Anastasia Brees's personal hair stylist. Then, Anastasia Brees, the twenty-five years old owner of the make-up brand made a surprising visit to Massie's summer house and announce that the employees of "Be Pretty Cosmetics" will put together a video tribute to Massie as their top salesgirl. Disasters strikes when the employees interview Massie's clients and the clients, now very good-looking thanks to Massie, reply that Massie was being honest and told them their ugly features. After Anastasia Brees watch the video tribute, she critisized Massie on not just being beautiful on the outside, but on the inside too which Massie isn't and suggest that Massie should apologize to her customers for making them feel insecure. Massie then goes on stage but suddenly changed her mind at the last minute, she never did apologize but she quits her job, pays her parents back and make a run for the door with Anastasia calling her name.

I enjoy this book because it's very interesting, kind of adventurous and hilarious for a book about history. Most books involving history is just really boring and lame but this book is very unique and original.

Dial L For Loser

Dial L for Loser is about The Pretty Committe which includes Massie, Claire, Alicia, Dylan and Kristen coming to Merri-lee Marvil's famous morning talk show studio and get a backstage pass to meet teen sensations, Hadley Dunk and Abby Boyd who will be starring in Rupert Mann's movie "Dial L for Loser". After hearing that Abby is dating her guy over a microphone in the bathroom stall where Dylan talks about it, Hadley quit the movie. Rupert Mann demanded Massie to give him her Motorola Razr and later on announce that Massie and her friends can audition for Hadley's part in Hollywood. Dylan wasn't invited because she's the one who cause problems in the first place and Kristen's parents ground her at Westchester to study philosophies. So when Massie, Claire and Alicia arrived at the studio, they met Connor Foley, a handsome and famous young actor. Since Massie was too confident for the role and Alicia was too beautiful, Claire got the part as Molly, the loser. Massie and Alicia's only chance as fame is to make an exclusive for "The Daily Grind" by showing them the behind the scenes if "Dial L for Loser" but chaos strike when Massie and Alicia froze on camera. Once again, Claire accidentally stole their spotlight and Massie is trying to control her jealousy. She and Alicia put a package of acne removers and other beauty products that might humiliate Claire and showed the stuff on "The Daily Grind". Claire got mad and didn't back them up when they were trying to interview Abby Boyd, who was scowling at them for interrupting her in her dressing room. Claire then hang out with Abby and Connor and found out they are extremely fun and wild. Connor is also using Massie and Alicia to get known as "The Lady Man" by inviting them to his swimming pool in bikinis and hire a paparazzi. But the paparazzi accidentally took a photo of the girls picking their booger and bums and really humiliate Connor. In the end, Claire found out that Abby was just pretending to be friend with her in the movie for some reputation. Massie, Claire and Alicia eventually apologized to each other and went back to Westchester. Through her studying of philosophies, Kristen persuaded Principal Burns to let them settle back in at Octavian Country Day after they were expelled. THE END>
